Getting Started with Sonic Bloom
Welcome to Sonic Bloom! This guide will help you create your first musician website in under 10 minutes.
What You'll Need
- An email address
- Your music files (MP3, WAV, FLAC, or M4A)
- Photos of yourself or your band
- Basic information about your music
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to gosonicbloom.com
- Click "Sign Up"
- Enter your email and create a password
- Verify your email address
Cost: Start with a 30-day free trial (no credit card required).
Step 2: Choose Your Artist Name
Your artist name becomes your website URL:
- Example: If you choose "johndoe", your site will be johndoe.gosonicbloom.com
- You can add a custom domain later (like johndoe.com)
Tips:
- Use lowercase letters and hyphens only
- Keep it short and memorable
- Match your existing artist name
Step 3: Pick a Theme
Choose a theme that matches your music style:
- Classic: Traditional musician layout (folk, country, rock)
- Indie Artist: Warm, organic design (indie, folk)
- Electronic Producer: Dark mode with visualizations (electronic, EDM)
- Band: Group-focused with member profiles (bands, ensembles)
- Hip-Hop: Bold typography and high contrast (hip-hop, rap)
Don't worry - you can change your theme anytime!
Step 4: Upload Your Music
- Go to Dashboard โ Music
- Click "Upload Track"
- Select your audio file (up to 50MB per track)
- Add track details:
- Title
- Description
- Release date (optional)
- Click "Save"
Supported Formats: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A
Step 5: Add Your Bio and Photos
- Go to Dashboard โ Profile
- Fill in your bio:
- Artist name
- Hometown
- Bio (tell your story!)
- Upload a profile photo
- Upload a header/banner image
Image Requirements:
- Profile photo: Square (recommended 400x400px)
- Header image: Landscape (recommended 1920x600px)
- Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
Step 6: Customize Your Site
Colors and Fonts
- Go to Dashboard โ Theme
- Customize colors:
- Primary color (buttons, links)
- Accent color (highlights)
- Background color
- Choose fonts:
- Heading font
- Body font
Social Media Links
- Go to Dashboard โ Profile
- Scroll to Social Media Links
- Add links to:
- Twitter/X
- Spotify
- Apple Music
- Bandcamp
Contact Information
Add your:
- Email (for booking inquiries)
- Phone number (optional)
- Location (city/state)
Step 7: Publish Your Site
- Go to Dashboard โ Settings
- Toggle "Make my site public" to ON
- Your site is now live!
Your website URL: your-artist-name.gosonicbloom.com
Step 8: Share Your Site
Share your new website:
- Add it to your Instagram bio
- Post it on Facebook
- Include it in your email signature
- Add it to your business cards

Upgrade Your Plan
After your 30-day free trial, choose the plan that fits your needs:
- Artist ($10/month): 10 tracks, 500 fans, tip jar, custom domain
- Pro ($20/month): Unlimited everything, sell merch, email campaigns, remove branding
Common Questions
Can I change my subdomain later?
Yes! Go to Dashboard โ Settings โ Change Subdomain. Your old subdomain will redirect automatically.
How do I add a custom domain?
Custom domains are included in both paid plans! Go to Dashboard โ Domain and follow the DNS setup instructions. SSL certificates are provisioned automatically.
Can I upload videos?
Not yet, but you can embed YouTube or Vimeo videos in your bio or show descriptions.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Dashboard โ Settings โ Delete Account. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Go to Dashboard โ Settings โ Export Data. You'll receive a ZIP file with all your music, photos, and fan emails.
